Verdict
This looks sure to be a real slog in the mud for these novices and we will side with Silent Gunner to come out on top ahead of Lenny and Yogi. The selection looks sure to go off at a decent price today after falling over an inadequate trip at Chepstow last time out. He has been given 93 days to get over that experience and should be more at home over this trip. He handles these testing conditions and should put up a better show today given a clear round of jumping. Yogi, a 144-rated hurdler at best in Ireland, rates a threat. However he didn't jump with much fluency when beaten over a marathon trip at Stratford. At eleven, the switch to chasing could be an act of desperation and he is passed over today. Lenny is an interesting novice, as he wasn't beaten that far behind the useful Back For The Craic at Newbury last month. With just five runs under his belt he is entitled to have improvement within him so could go well today. Henry's Pride's third at Bangor back in the Spring of last year gives him place claims at least in this contest, however he needs to improve his jumping to feature today. Spectested makes his chase debut and should be watched for signs of confidence in the market, however we will stick with Silent Gunner to take this at decent odds.
