Verdict

Helen Wood is selected to gain the hat-trick despite her hefty weight, with Sonnengold the one to chase her home. The selection didn't come off the bridle when sluicing up at Fontwell five days ago and this looks easier. None of her rivals are in form and she surely only has to jump round to win here. Lucy Wadham's Sonnengold was only average on the flat in Germany however she does have winning form over this trip and on similar ground. Purple Patch will have to forget her poor last run to feature today, whilst Joli Classical has had enough chances and is only moderate. Alina Rheinberg is fairly unexposed over hurdles but her mark of 96 still looks too high. Therefore we can return to David Pipe's Helen Wood as our confident selection.
