In depth

Verdict

Wunderbra made a winning start to her career in handicaps when landing a six-furlong contest here last month and is taken to follow up over the minimum trip, with Peruvian Style and Short Chorus rated the main dangers. Peruvian Style has slipped to a fair mark and is now 1lb lower than when beaten a short head by Who's Winning at Brighton on Wednesday. He rates a bigger threat than Short Chorus who, while progressive, may now be a shade high in the weights. Musselburgh selling winner Jinksonthehouse looks to be out of her depth in this grade and of more interest is the Brooke Sanders-trained Minimum Bid. The daughter of First Trump is equally effective on turf as on the all-weather on which she found just Tender too good last time. The booking of Frankie Dettori for Borzoi Maestro takes the eye but for the vote we side with Wunderbra, who remains unexposed and should be suited by the drop to the minimum.
