Verdict

In an extremely difficult race, Beyond The Clouds is just preferred to take advantage of a good draw, with Patavellian, Mister Sweets and Zarzu the main dangers. Beyond The Clouds is an admirably consistent sprinter who loves fast ground, and was not disgraced when facing a stiff task behind Pic Up Sticks in a conditions race at Beverley last time. He has won twice here, and the booking of Kieren Fallon looks significant. Zarzu had no luck in running in a similar race over seven furlongs at Musselburgh last time, but this is probably his best trip and he looks sure to go well from a good draw, with Darryll Holland another eye-catching jockey booking. Patavellian won his final three starts last season and with Roger Charlton's string in fair form can be expected to go well on his reappearance. Mister Sweets has some very soild form in two starts on turf this year and looks a big danger, while Sundried Tomato and Najeebon would both have claims but may be undone by a poor low draw.
