In depth

Verdict

This looks tricky and is complicated further by John Gosden running two. Nawassi ran poorly in the Nell Gwyn at Newmarket a fortnight ago and is penalised for last year’s success at the same track so a chance is taken on the newcomer DOLCISSIMO, a half-sister to Group 2 winner Bow Creek and three other winners. Desert Diamond hails from last year’s winning yard and is a likely improver along with Skirrid Hill, Voluminous and Sary Arqa and the latter’s stablemate Inpromptu is a newcomer to note.
