        Verdict

        The drop back into this grade for Tigress could be enough to spark a revival from the top weight and James Unett's mare is selected over the frustrating Geronimo, who will no doubt go close, and Italian Mist, who is no forlorn hope of going close at this level despite his less than inspiring profile. Of the rest: Cleveland Way has put in better performances lately and could go close if this doesn't come around too quickly, whereas Arrogant Prince may have needed the run last time and is one to monitor for signs of support. In contrast: Warlingham has never been at his best here and like Lake Eyre and Attorney, needs everything to go his way if he is to figure. Therefore, this is best left to Tigress, who is easily capable of giving weight away to this bunch of chancers. The daughter of Desert Style ran up a nice little sequence of efforts at this time last year and, off a mark 11lb lower than her best, she is taken to make the most of the drop in class this afternoon.
