        Verdict

        A weak affair may go to the Lisa Jones-ridden Armentieres, with Yamato Pink and Maggies Choice also worth consideration. The latter is trained by Nick Littmoden, who sent out last year¿s winner, Town Called Malice, but the Newmarket handler complicates matters by also saddling Rosie Maloney. The market therefore may be the best guide as to which one to concentrate on. Armentieres has already visited the winner¿s enclosure, at Nottingham in October, and although that was only a seller, he did well when turned out just three days later in nursery company at Brighton, finishing a decent fourth under plenty of weight. He makes more appeal than Yamato Pink who is still getting the hang of things but who is dropped in grade. Not an event to get too heavily involved in then, but the vote goes to Armentieres.
