In depth

Verdict

Cockney Trucker made another bold bid at Newton Abbot last month but was caught by a couple of better handicapped horses after the last and it could be the same story here with GREAT MATES in the field. He travelled well for a long way in a better contest at Cheltenham on his reappearance in April and looks ready to add to last year's two victories at this track. Ghimaar won three of four starts over timber last summer but jockey bookings suggest he may need this and stablemate Crystal Rock is preferred with McCoy on board, while Irish import Schumpters Lad is not easily dismissed despite a disappointing debut for Charlie Mann back in January.
