Verdict

BADDAM was gifted the race here in May but has run well on the flat since and looks worth sticking with. AP McCoy takes the ride on the Ian Williams-trained gelding and this classy flat stayer can defy his penalty. A very solid eighth-placed finish at Goodwood last month displayed his well-being. City Heights knows how to win and this step back from handicap company won't concern, although his double penalty might, whilst I Need A Hero won tidily at Southwell a couple of days ago and if bucking and squealing at home it would be silly to not run him here given his ease of victory. Cheek-pieces are applied on Presentandcorrect after a reluctant performance at Stratford but his yard are flying so he's not one to discount, although the other two are.
