        Verdict

        River Thames and Expensive have both shown ability but there are some interesting newcomers here with the marginal vote going to Bold Crusader, who is preferred to Three Thieves. The last mentioned is trained by Mark Johnston and while the Middleham-based trainer can produce his two-year-olds to win first time out they invariably improve for their first run. With improvement anticipated over further for Three Thieves, Bold Crusader looks to be a safer bet. Admittedly Godolphin have had a couple of reversals of late but this Cape Cross half-brother to sprint winner Yajbill really takes the eye on pedigree and it come as no surprise to see him score on his debut. Chris Wall's Expensive is becoming rather frustrating and of more interest may be another one of the newcomers Lunar Express, who is by Giant's Causeway. A market move for her or for Geoff Wragg's Mannikko, a full brother to sprint winner Neverletme Go, would be of interest. Clive Britain's Almowj and James Eustace's Colton are other newcomers worth a look in the betting market for, while River Thames showed promise at Newmarket and has to be considered. Bold Crusader looks a likely type on pedigree though and gets the vote.
