Nottingham fly-half joins on loan
Gloucester have bolstered their backline with the signing of Nottingham fly-half Tim Taylor on loan.
The former England Under-21 international will fill void left by the Golden Lions-bound Carlos Spencer.
Taylor came through Leicester's academy before going on to play for Nelson Boys and Tasman Makos in New Zealand.
At Nottingham he scored 239 points, including 13 tries, in 45 matches and played alongside Gloucester centre Tim Molenaar.
"We know only too well from earlier this season how quickly you can lose a number of players to injury," head coach Bryan Redpath said.
"Tim is an experienced professional, an accomplished goal kicker who will add something to our squad over the next few months.
Opportunity
"He is widely acknowledged as being the most accomplished and composed fly-half in the Championship and plays flat to the line which will suit our movement game.
"It's a good opportunity for him to come in and show what he can do and we'll see where we stand at the end of the season."
Gloucester have also seen Wales second row Will James extend his stay at Kingsholm for a further two years.
And despite Gloucester's troubles on the field, James had no doubt about committing his future to the club.
"I didn't hesitate when it came to signing on the dotted line because the time I've spent at Gloucester has been the best of my career," he told the club's website.
"Now that my future is settled, I can fully concentrate on getting match fit and playing my part in the rest of this season and beyond."
