Fly-half handed new contract

Stormers fly-half Peter Grant has put to paper on a 12-month extension to his contract. Grant made his Super Rugby debut for Cape Town-based franchise in 2006 and has gone on to rack up 675 points in 72 appearances. And although there was interest from a number of clubs in the 27-year-old - including the Western Force - Grant has opted to commit for the 2013 season. However Grant will not play for Western Province in the Currie Cup, with the South Africa international set to return to Japan for a third season. Grant has spent two campaigns playing for the Kobe Steel Kobelco Steelers.
