Racing 92 have fined Teddy Thomas for his "unsuitable behaviour" following Scotland’s victory over France in the Six Nations last weekend.

Winger Thomas, who scored two tries in the 32-26 defeat at Murrayfield, has already been dropped by France for the game against Italy on February 23, along with a number of other Les Bleus players.

France's squad was delayed in returning home Scotland after a number of the squad were questioned by police, and Racing have now imposed their own punishment on Thomas.

The French rugby federation is investigating the players who allegedly went out drinking on Sunday after losing to Scotland.

"The French Rugby Federation (FFR) has already sanctioned Teddy Thomas by suspending him from the team that will face Italy," Racing said in a statement.

"Racing 92 has opted for a financial penalty against this player retaining his ethics bonus for the month of February.
