Wales winger ready to take on Vainikolo
Wales winger Shane Williams is not expecting Lesley Vainikolo to try running around him should the new England recruit take to the Twickenham turf on Saturday.
Tongan-born Vainikolo is set for his international debut off the bench - just a handful of games in to his union career after a phenomenal spell in rugby league.
And Williams, who is giving away five stones and seven inches to the Gloucester powerhouse, has no doubt about what to expect.
"It's David versus Goliath," he said.
"I don't think he's going to bother trying to run around me but I've played against the big wingers all my life.
"With my physique, that's going to happen anyway. They are all pretty much monsters for me.
Methods
"I've played against some big lads, the likes of Aurelien Rougerie and Alesana Tuilagi. That's my job and that's what I've got to put up with.
"I tend to find it easier playing against the bigger man, to be honest.
"I've just got to find methods to deal with the bigger lads. I'll have to go low or he could be chucking me into the stands I imagine.
"It's a case of any means possible within the law I suppose. You've got to deal with it, you've no other option."
As one of 13 Ospreys in the Wales starting XV, Williams should have already come up against Vainikolo and his Gloucester team-mates in the Heineken Cup.
However, Williams missed the game at Kingsholm through injury - something that caused much amusement among his colleagues.
He said: "When we played Gloucester away in the Heineken Cup, I missed the game through injury.
"The lads seemed to think I pulled out of that one, but, believe me, that wasn't the case!"
