Verdict
After an encouraging third behind the useful Backbeat at Newbury last time on only his second start over timber, Caribbean Cove is taken to open his account in this novices' hurdle. Henrietta Knight's gelding had shown signs of ability in bumper company in two starts in that sphere and looks to have been found a decent opportunity to gain his first success. Kim Bailey's Barcham Again has claims on his second to Rodalko at Ludlow in November but has disappointed since then and is probably bets watched here. The Venetia Williams-trained Inner Sanctum has shown respectable form in two starts in bumper company but faces a stiff assignment on his hurdles debut and a bigger threat to the selection could be Paul Webber's Kingsfold Freddie, who is probably better than he has showed in two starts over timber.
