In depth

Verdict

MASHADI (NAP) has already had three runs and has twice failed to get off the mark in photo finishes. The Blue Point colt obviously enjoys a major edge in experience, seems very reliable and is worth going along with again. Jockey bookings suggest he's the stable first string too but Commander Crouch is nicely-bred and it will be interesting to see what the market makes of the stable companions. Mammy showed speed on her Newmarket debut before fading and should improve for the run, with Princess Chizara's chance likely to be best indicated by the market. It's a similar story with Budding Poet, who has plenty of speed in his pedigree and represents Owen Burrows, who continues to impress with his shrewd placing of his select number of runners.
