Verdict
Rivas Rob Roy, a course regular over the years, is a fine servant to his yard. He wins in his turn and landed a ninth career success here last month - a third course win. He has to make any shortlist along with Girl In The Picture, who only ran at Nottingham on Wednesday when a fair fourth in an apprentice handicap. She is also a course winner and commands respect as a consistent performer at this level. It's been almost a year since Roscioli ran on the grass and he's also joined a new yard so a watching brief is suggested, while Vitesse Du Son has yet to fire this term. SPIRIT WARNING has only had three starts since August 2021 but ran a really good race here last month after nearly a year off and has a leading chance if backing up that run with the extra furlong likely to suit,
