    Verdict

RULE OF NATURE is given the chance to live up to her breeding in the race, in the process beating old rival Horseradish with Lowdown and Srda likely to give their running too. Sir Michael Stoute's daughter of Oasis Dream won over six furlongs as a juvenile on her second start and returned in good form to take second behind Horseradish off a mark of 75. The 1lb pull in the weights should ensure there's very little between them here and, despite the fact our pick suggested she'd stay further, on breeding she's bred to make a fair sprinter and from just about the best of the draw gets our vote. Horseradish ran well off this mark last time to further advertise his wellbeing, but from a worse draw he may find the filly too good on this occasion, with his hold-up style not the easiest to employ here. Lowdown ran well on his return and having only been beaten a head it's a slight surprise that he's not gone up in the ratings. Mark Johnston's son of Shamardal will in all probability set out to make the running and may be hard to pass if he can get to the rail from nine. Srda has fared poorly with the draw but must have claims dropping into handicap, although she is fully 15lbs higher than when scooting home at Wolverhampton and this is more competitive. Johannesgray is interesting having won a maiden that's worked out well last time but this is a tough introduction to the handicap ranks and we much prefer Rule Of Nature.
