Verdict

LUC JORDAN, Bugaku and Goliaths Boy represent yards that should continue to get more out of them and accordingly make up our shortlist, with the tentative vote going to Luc Jordan. Luca Cumani's charge won his last three starts in 2009, in the process climbing 11lbs in the ratings. The horse he beat last time has scored in facile fashion already this year giving the form a rock-solid look, so with plenty more to come from this colt and from a good draw he's selected under Fallon. Bugaku hasn't had much racing and will doubtless continue to progress under the care of Sir Michael Stoute, but despite the fact he remains well treated following a comeback win we're of the opinion he'll do even better when stepped up to a mile and a half. Goliaths Boy won well last time, in the process beating a reliable yardstick, and his tenacity that day suggested there'll be more to come now he's returned to this distance. Credit Swap drops down in class and can't be ruled out for connections who saddled a winner earlier in the week, so he's of more each-way interest than Plush who has it all to do off this rating now asked to race on turf again. Hollow Green landed a touch last time and has claims under her penalty whilst Ben Chorley is another to have caught the eye on his latest outing but we like the progressive profile of Luc Jordan and he gets the vote.
