Verdict

Subsequent Listed winner Crossed Baton defied a penalty to win last year’s renewal for the Gosden yard and SUCELLUS is fancied to follow suit. The latter made a winning start at Wolverhampton in December with a future winner back in third and pedigree suggests there is more to come over this longer trip. Living Legend also returns to action though his win over a mile at Lingfield came back in September while Sawasdee represents Andrew Balding’s in-form yard and he’s preferred to Island Jungle of the others having their first start of the year. King's Counsel is a half-brother to a host of winners and a newcomer to note.
