Gelded over the winter, Soldier's Minute returned with an impressive win over track and trip but is raised in class off a 10lb higher mark today. Desert Doctor beat George Bowen less than a length at Wolverhampton last time with Raucous further behind and should go well again while Aeolus ended last year with a good effort at Doncaster and Gilgamesh drops back down in trip for his return. Alwasmiya won a Listed race as a two-year-old though missed the whole of last year and along with UDONTDODOU hasn’t had much luck with the draw. But the latter may find the race run to suit given his hold-up style and gets a speculative vote in an open affair now 7lb lower than when beaten a neck in last year’s renewal.
