A couple of progressive four-year-olds head the early betting including Matterhorn. The latter is now 27lb higher than when his winning streak began in December though his latest handicap success over track and trip was his most impressive so far. Mootasadir made a winning return at Wolverhampton recently and is penalised for a Group 3 win at Dundalk in September but FABRICATE escapes a penalty by a few days for landing a Group 3 at Windsor in August. Michael Bell’s charge has the strongest overall form and may provide a bit of value against his younger rivals bidding to repeat last year’s winning reappearance in this contest.
