Verdict

Richard Hannon trained last year’s inaugural winner and the returning Chatham House sets the standard off a mark of 81. Stablemate Osho made only a modest debut at Lingfield recently but Daarik ended last year with a victory over 6f at Newcastle in November and will likely prove popular for the powerful Gosden yard. EARDLEY ROAD also steps up in distance having made a winning start here last month when scoring by three lengths. An impressive late surge on that occasion suggests this extra furlong will suit Clive Cox’ charge and he gets the vote. Global Warning was still beaten a long way when runner-up at Lingfield in August and Desire For Freedom may prove best of the newcomers.
