Verdict
Safirah won well on the soft at Redcar last time and should go close, but preference today is for Vamp, with Tranquil Sky also expected to go well. Safirah did finally lose her maiden tag in good style, but the opposition were not the strongest and we think she may find one or two too good today. Vamp though has locked horns with some very good performers overs the last few weeks, including Ringsider, who beat her by just over two lengths. She is making her all-weather debut, but if she handles the surface she will be very hard to beat of her current mark. Tranquil Sky is more exposed than most of these but holds her form well and should be in the shake up. The best of the others could be Lorien Hill, but Vamp deserves to win a race of this nature and is a confident choice.
