Verdict

An ordinary maiden by course standards can go to Hallhoo, who shaped up well on his debut and edges the vote over Sarem, who could be anything judging by his entries and a he may be worth having a saver on if the prices permit. John Dunlop, who had a few juvenile winners at around this time last year, has not over faced Bertrose for his introduction and he is another of the newcomers that could go well, while Rapid Flow an be expected to be ready to do himself justice if the recent form shown by runners from his yard is anything to go by. However, as there is no substitute for experience, Hallhoo has a vital edge at this stage and, although Sarem has to be of interest, Mick Channon's charge just gets the vote as the main hope.
