Verdict

It is hard to get away from the claims of Dress To Thrill who is progressive and looks to be well up to genuine Group 2 standard, which is more than can be said for a number of her opponents. Depending on which form lines you trust using Miss Honorine and Maryinsky (the pace of the relevant races they have been involved with has not been consistent), Dress To Thrill or Chorist comes out the as the best filly in the race. Either way, they look the two principals in this race and Dress To Thrill, who is already a Group winner and is progressive, is the TEAMtalk selection. Chorist has also been progressive this year and the form of her Salisbury win, where she beat Fraulein, a Grade 1 winner in America since from Alasha, reads well. Alasha had earlier trounced Mamounia and the last-named is closely weighted with Miss Pinkerton and Mythic on their Sandown efforts in August. Fallen Star is held by Dress To Thrill on her latest run, at Leopardstown, although she is entitled to be improving. Dolores promised much when fourth on only her second start in the 1,000 Guineas and, if she has been fully freshened up by a break, warrants consideration. Mexican Hawk has the scope to make up into a lovely four-year-old but this might be a step too far at this stage of her career, while Spinnette, who is well regarded, has not run for 88 days and comes here on the back of a maiden win. The TEAMtalk selection then is Dress To Thrill, with the principal dangers Chorist and Dolores.
