A very competitive handicap to end the day. Danelor and Cosmic Millennium are closely weighted on their mile Haydock runs. Wahj has won off higher marks but has lost his way a little lately. True Night, closely weighted with Alafzar on their Chester runs, won four in a row in July/August and his last run, when he hit the front too soon, can be ignored. Tumbleweed Charm showed promise over six furlongs last week (the third in the race has won since) but he has disappointed before, including in blinkers. Idle Power is back on a winning mark and has won at Newmarket (over six furlongs on good to soft), while Kareeb, gradually dropping down the weights, showed some promise at Ascot last week. Amoras won twice earlier in the year and the handicapper is beginning to drop her rating. Goodenough Mover had his colours lowered at Salisbury on good to soft on October 2 when chasing a four-timer. Labrett will win a race like this one day and ran pretty well last time. Type One is stepping up in trip, a move that should suit, after showing indications of ability at five furlongs. Lady Pahia is back on a winning mark but may find a few too good for her today. Mick Channon's pair, Dowhatjen and Sunley Scent hold chances, the latter having had a mid-season break and will be fresher than most. To call this race tricky is an understatement. At this time of the year, it is difficult to know which horses have lost their form and freshness as the season draws to its close but, if pressed for a TEAMtalk selection, then Kareeb, with Darryll Holland booked, might just build on what looked like a promising effort at Ascot last week.
