Verdict
With horses from the Terry Mills yard in such good form at present, topweight Zarin is bound to be popular with backers in this competitive contest as is stablemate Indian Plume. Barry Hills does well with his runners at this meeting so his representative, Faithful Warrior, may be worth a second look especially after a better effort last time. Henry Cecil does not have many five-year-olds in training so True Thunder has to be respected as his handler clearly thinks him still capable of winning races. However, it may pay to side with the three-year-olds here. Of them Bestam, who is just 1lb off the topweight, has to be respected although an absence from the track is a worry so the TEAMtalk vote goes to Medallist. Sir Michael Stoute's colt showed a liking for cut in the ground when winning his maiden at Haydock and, although disappointing on a couple of starts since, he ran much better over 10 furlongs on the July course last time. The drop back to a mile, in what is likely to be a strongly run race, should not be a problem and under Kieren Fallon he gets the nod.
