This could be a really informative end of season maiden with several likely types making their debuts. Of those with racing experience Clive Brittain's Lundy's Lane and Zap Attack from the Mick Channon stable have probably the most solid claims, while the Barry Hills-trained Essnaad should have learned a lot from his first effort. This is most likely to go to one of the newcomers though and there are plenty of interesting ones. John Gosden has an unenviable record at this meeting and relies upon a full-brother to Ryafan, Calibre, but he is not certain to be suited by the ground. The same may be said of Sir Michael Stoute's half-sister to Phantom Gold, Flash Of Gold. Ed Dunlop's pair, Tipu Sultan and Sacred Love are likely to need the run and the TEAMtalk selection is Timber Ice. Henry Cecil has done well, from limited runners, with his juveniles this term and, being by Woodman, the soft ground should not inconvenience this filly.
