In depth
Verdict
Dorans Magic may be the answer here, with Miss Mattie Ross, Go Nomadic, Hermes III and Mytimie all making for a competitive hunters' chase. Miss Mattie Ross actually lines up in the best form of all, having landed a hat-trick at Kelso recently, but will surely be anchored by her double penalty, as will last year's winner Go Nomadic. With that in mind, Dorans Magic who could be well treated, gets the vote. He has jumped round the likes of Haydock in the past and lines up fit from a win between the flags at Whittington. With Nial Saville claiming a valuable seven-pounds, Annabelle Armitage's charge can surprise at a decent price. Hermes III was brought down at Bechers in the Topham Chase but was in touch at the time, so may go well along with Mytimie, but the latter still has a bit to find to turn the tables on Miss Mattie Ross on Kelso running. However, we return to Dorans Magic to beat them all here.
