In depth

Verdict

Pretty Majestic made a pleasing debut at Sandown last month and has to be respected on that evidence but that was on a much faster surface than this and, at the likely odds, she looks worth taking on with Emma's Surprise, who is preferred to Spritza. The selection is bred to handle this ground and hails from the yard of Kevin Ryan that has been doing well with their juveniles this term. Stablemate Tender Moments should also appreciate the conditions being by the mud-lark Tomba and she cannot be discounted along with Stormburst from the yard of Michael Dods, although she may want more time. Mark Johnston's Dee Cee Elle is bred to be useful but the yard's youngsters normally improve with racing and a bigger threat may come from Michael Bell's Spectrum filly Spritza. Emma's Surprise has a likeable pedigree though and she is taken to make a winning debut.
