Verdict

Trouble Mountain was good value for his win at Nottingham on Saturday but he may struggle to follow up under his 6lb penalty just two days later and preference is for Scotty's Future, who gets the vote ahead of Splodger Mac. The last mentioned lost no caste in defeat over Beverley's stiff mile last time but has yet to prove himself over this far so he may be best watched. The trip may be of no worry to Alan Bailey's Hawkit but the ground may be, while San Deng could probably do with some help from the handicapper. Etoile Russe comes here fit and in form from a hurdling campaign and could be of interest back on the level but preference is for Scotty's Future, who was value for further than the winning margin would suggest at Beverley last time and has solid claims off just a 4lb higher mark.
