In depth

Verdict

Plenty of recent winners in the lineup and the vote of confidence goes to Blessed Place ahead of Harrison's Flyer and Currency. The selection has a 6lb penalty for his recent win at Newbury on soft ground and having won off a higher mark in the past, he still looks well treated. He appeared to relish the return to the minimum trip that day and he gets the vote to win again. Stamford Blue drops in trip but that doesn't look ideal as he appeared to need every yard of the six furlong trip when successful on Wednesday so is passed over, along with old boy Dancing Mystery. At his peak he would have carried these home however he hasn't been sparkling of late and may be running out of petrol. Caustic Wit and Currency are two more for consideration, however the biggest danger could be Harrison's Flyer. Soft ground suits and having won at Brighton recently, he is still 5lbs below his highest winning mark even with his penalty. He looks the pick of Milton Bradley's three, however Blessed Place looks the pick of the whole bunch and gets the nomination.
