In depth

Verdict

Favourites have a decent record in this race and Dawn's Sky can win at the fourth time of asking at the main expense of Silver Suitor. Michael Jarvis' Fantastic Light colt takes a drop in trip today after disappointing as an odds-on favourite last time out. He has run well on ground with some give in and instead of trying for handicap success off a very harsh mark of 85, this looks a much easier opportunity. With possibly some more restraint from the jockey from the front, he can win this average maiden. The form of Alaghiraar's debut run has worked out well and he is of interest now stepped up in trip after a winter off and should be monitored for market support, however Silver Suitor has race fitness on his side and can be the one to chase the selection home. He has shown glimpses of promise and if ridden closer to the pace today then he should go well. Torba is entitled to improve for her debut run however Dawn Sky could be a cut above these and can get his head in front.
