Veteran Pettochside should enjoy conditions but appears to have gone off the boil. Bossipop is possibly best over 6f but is closely matched with Lihou on Chester running. Saaheq seeks a third course and distance victory but the ground has probably turned against Amanda Harwood’s charge with Phoenix Star 3lb better off for a length defeat here three weeks ago. Mokaatil won last month’s Epsom Dash but has been raised 6lb and SPOOF has only gone up 2lb for a well-judged win at Chester. Charlie Hills’ sprinter has winning form on soft and could pick up the pieces again today with a strong pace likely. Hurricane Ivor has the rails draw but is conceding weight to some tough handicappers.
