Lordship, Regal Curtsy and Red Birr make the shortlist here with Lordship taken to score. Regal Curtsy had slipped down the handicap after some modest efforts last season and showed improved form to be third on his re-appearance, seeming to benefit from a longer trip. This contest is run over a quarter of a mile less, and therefore he may well be suited by further. He is well treated but is opposed. Red Birr turned in some respectable efforts over hurdles without winning but he won twice last season, and is only three pounds higher than his last tinning mark. He has not been out this year though and may just need the run. Lordship has been running well recently, staying on well last time to be third. A winner on testing ground last season, Lordship can lead them home despite this quicker surface.
