Verdict
Only a small field here, and True Rose should be good enough to win on only her second start over fences. A surprise winner of a novice hurdle at Catterick in February, she put up a good effort on her chasing bow at Hexham last time, finishing a respectable third to the well-regarded Byron Lamb. Elvis Regns finished well ahead of Deferlant when third to Canadiane at Haydock last month, but is far from certain to do so on significantly worse terms here. The latter won three novice chases last summer and would not be far away if returning to that sort of form. Red Hustler and Sir Norman cannot be ruled out entirely, but True Rose is less exposed than all of her rivals and gets the confident vote here.
