Bradford Bulls forward given chance in NRL
Bradford back-rower Michael Worrincy will make a switch to the NRL next season after signing for the Penrith Panthers.
The 24-year-old, who has also played for Harlequins, will link up with former Bulls boss Matthew Elliot at the Australian outfit.
"I'm grateful to the Bulls for helping me develop as a player and I would like to thank the club for making it possible for me to take this opportunity in Australia," Worrincy said.
He will join fellow Englishmen Gareth Ellis, Mark Flanagan, Gareth Widdop and former Bradford team-mate Sam Burgess in the NRL.
Bradford chairman Peter Hood stated the club did not want to stand in the way of an opportunity for Worrincy to ply his trade Down Under.
He said: "Opportunities for players from this Federation to test themselves in the NRL don't come along very often so when Michael got his chance we certainly didn't wish to stand in his way.
"We thank Michael for his efforts and wish him the very best of success down under."
