Leicester Tigers could be without flanker Mike Williams for the rest of the season after he suffered a broken arm against Wasps.

Williams had only just returned to action after sustaining a similar injury against former club Worcester Warriors last December.

"Mike has a suspected re-fracture of his arm and that is probably the end of the season for him," Leicester Tigers director of rugby Richard Cockerill told the Leicester Mercury.

"He has been on really good form and he has set the physical tone for us. Unfortunately, arms are notorious for re-injuring. He is not the first and he will not be the last.

"They can take a long time to settle and it is just one of those things with a big man who is running hard into another big man who is running really hard at him. It's just bad luck.

"Maybe he could be back by the end of the season if we get into late play-off action but we will just see how the pain is. With a re-fracture, you would tend to be more conservative."
