An outstanding cameo from replacement scrum-half Dan Robson inspired Wasps to an emphatic 62-10 win over Worcester in the Anglo-Welsh Cup.

The England hopeful scored twice and created three other scores to ensure Dai Young's team kept their quarter-final hopes alive.

Wasps emerged from a first-half scrap, when they trailed to a Josh Adams double, with a 19-10 lead but piled on seven unanswered second-half tries to romp to victory.

Robson crossed for his two tries after the break, as did Jacob Umaga, as the bonus-point win moved Wasps up to second in Pool 3.

Cardiff Blues' Anglo-Welsh Cup campaign got off to a miserable start with a 10-try thrashing against Exeter Chiefs at Sandy Park, as the Welsh youngsters could not compete with far more experienced opponents.

The visitors began brightly by scoring a quick 10 points but were then overrun by the pace and power of the home side, going down 62-25.

Michele Campagnaro, Tom Hendrickson, Damian Welch, Sam Simmonds, Stuart Townsend, Tom Johnson, Tom Lawday, Jack Innard and Shaun Malton scored Exeter's tries and there was also a penalty try award - with Joe Simmonds converting six.
