England Saxons representative set to join Sale

Sale Sharks have moved to strengthen their squad with the signing of Gloucester prop forward Jack Forster on a two-year deal. The Wigan-born 21-year-old moved to Kingsholm from Hartpury College in the 2006-07 season and has represented England at Under 16, Under 18 and Saxons levels. The addition represents an important step in a rebuilding process for director of rugby Kingsley Jones and incoming coach Jason Robinson with a number of integral players all set to leave Edgeley Park. Sale forwards Sebastien Bruno, Sebastien Chabal, Jason White and Lionel Faure are to quit the club at the end of the season so quality replacements are essential. "Jack is a great signing for us," Jones said. "I tried to sign him when I first arrived at the club but he was moving away to Hartpury College. "Phil Keith Roach and I both believe he has what it takes to become a full international." Forster's recruitment follows the addition of the club's youngest-ever signing Mark Jennings and chief executive James Jennings admits to a shift in policy. "As a club it is part of our strategy to recruit the best young talent," Jennings said. "Jack is a fantastic prospect and I am sure he will fulfil his potential as a Sale Sharks player."
