Club captain heads the departures from Sandy Park
Exeter Chiefs coach Rob Baxter has confirmed club captain Alan Miller will be one of 12 players leaving Sandy Park following promotion.
Flanker Miller, known as Misty, has played more than 100 games for the Chiefs - however he missed the majority of last season through injury.
And the 28-year-old will now leave the club along with Sam Blythe, Toby Freeman Danny Gray, Steve Jones, Shane Kingsland, Emyr Lewis, Sean Marsden, Saul Nelson, Clive Stuart-Smith, Matt Cornwell and Sean Tomes
Baxter, though, has hailed the impact Miller had in his role of club captain as the club sealed promotion to the Guinness Premiership.
Baxter told the club's official site: "Misty has done a great job for us this season despite suffering injuries that kept him off the field.
"He is an Exeter Chiefs man through and through and being club captain can be a difficult job, but he helped the coaching staff keep the squad motivated and focused to enable us to achieve what we have."
