Boks must re-focus for second Test says South Africa captain

Sidelined Springbok skipper John Smit is looking forward to returning to lead South Africa in the second Test against Italy on Saturday. Smit, a veteran of 95 caps, missed the Springboks' lacklustre 29-13 victory over theAzzurri last weekend because of a hamstring injury. The 32-year-old is one of five changes set to start at the Buffalo City Stadium in East London. Schalk Burger, who has recovered from an ankle complaint, Andries Bekker, Jacque Fourie and Juan Jongh will all start on Saturday. And, with the Tri Nations just over a fortnight away, Smit has called for big improvement following his side's poor effort last weekend. "It is important for us to re-focus for Saturday's Test," Smit said. "It is quite strange to be watching from afar one week and then be back in the thick of things the next. "We have a good team and have to make sure that what we do in training translates on the field on match day. "We had a good session on Monday and an even better one today and we have to carry that attitude into the game on Saturday."
