Slater and Silver join Championship outfit

Bristol have bolstered their scrum-half options for next season by signing Tom Slater and Louis Silver. Wales Sevens star Slater, 24, will make the move from Cardiff Blues at the end of the season, while 20-year-old Silver joins from Worcester. And coach Liam Middleton is delighted with the two new additions to his squad. "I'm pleased that Tom has committed himself to Bristol, he brings with him considerable Magners League and Heineken Cup experience," he said. "I've been most impressed with his approach to scrum half play and his ambition to develop himself further at this club. "I watched Louis play in a couple of Premiership games last season, he has impressed at both Academy and Premiership level, and I therefore believe that Louis is one of those players who rises to whatever level he plays at. "I think he will be very good in the Championship next season and I'm really pleased that he has agreed to become a Bristol player."
