Young centre to leave Glasgow and join Top 14 outfit
Glasgow prospect Mark Bennett has agreed to join reigning Top 14 champions Clermont Auvergne from next season.
The 18-year-old centre made his professional debut for the Warriors in their 38-3 Magners League defeat to Leinster last Friday.
But the Scottish Rugby Union have now announced that Bennett will make the switch to the French club over the summer.
"I owe a lot to the coaches who have helped me throughout my early career in Scotland as part of the development programme I have been part of," Bennett said.
"It was a great feeling to make my professional debut with my local club, and I would have been happy to stay in Glasgow, but the opportunity to join Clermont is one I cannot turn down."
