Championship club Cornish Pirates have concluded a deal with Australian centre/wing Ben Mercer.
The former Bath, Plymouth Albion and Bristol man is due to link up with his new team-mates at the beginning of October.
The 25-year-old, who also had a spell with the Newcastle Falcons, impressed while playing against the Pirates.
The club's CEO Rod Coward told the club's
official website: "Ben Mercer is a player who impressed when playing against the Pirates.
"He will add strength and depth to our squad and I'm delighted that he's agreed to return to the United Kingdom to join us."
