Centre to return home
Japan have suffered a blow ahead of their clash with Tonga after centre Koji Taira was ruled out of the rest of the World Cup with a hamstring injury.
The loss of Taira is the fifth injury withdrawal for Japan after Justin Ives, Ryukoliniashi Holani, Tomoki Yoshida and Yuta Imamura all returned home.
Coach John Kirwan has delayed a decision on whether to call up a replacement for Taira until after the clash against Tonga on Wednesday.
