The recent British and Irish Lions tour was a hot topic for our lads as they discussed Warren Gatland's leadership and Sean Fitzpatrick gave an insight into how the All Blacks would have taken the drawn series.

One man who did not make the Lions tour was England captain Dylan Hartley and the Sky Sports panel discussed his role as England skipper and the strong challenge for that No 2 starting berth from Jamie George.

"I think what Dylan has done over the last two years is phenomenal in terms of his captaincy," said former All Black hooker and skipper Sean Fitzpatrick.

"Jamie George has been playing very well - is he the finished product? I don't think so. He is an outstanding hooker but I think he has a little way to go.

"I think Dylan has been playing some of his best rugby - he is fitter than he has ever been.

"I had a meeting with Dylan a couple of years ago - I saw a lot of me in him. I don't think Dylan ever thought he would get the opportunity and I think it has taken him a little bit of time to come into that in terms of having the authority and the confidence to demand performances out of players. I think he is at that stage now.

"If it was me, he would be my captain without question."

The evening ended with an interesting Q & A ranging from who Eddie Jones rates as the best player in the world at the moment, to how Scott Quinnell, Sean Fitzpatrick and Will Greenwood would fare in the modern game.
