Nikki Walker hopes to keep fellow Ospreys wing Shane Williams quiet when Scotland take on Wales.
Club-mates on opposite sides at Murrayfield
Nikki Walker is looking forward to his match-up against Ospreys colleague Shane Williams when Scotland host Wales in the RBS Six Nations on Saturday.
Walker knows better than most the havoc the fleet-footed Williams can cause and is aware the British and Irish Lion will be key as Wales look to end an eight-match winless run.
But the 28-year-old Scotland wing, who will win his 20th cap at Murrayfield, is determined to come out on top.
"I work with Shane day in, day out at the Ospreys and I've learnt a lot off him," said Walker.
Challenge
"He's one of the best wingers there's been and I'm really looking forward to the challenge of playing against him.
"Hopefully I will get a lot of ball to run at him and he doesn't get too much ball."
Williams will win his 77th Wales cap on Saturday and has scored 51 Test tries - a record Walker hopes to keep in check by playing on the attack.
"When he's running he's small, jinky and sharp so it's going to be hard to defend against," added Walker.
"He's so unorthodox as a player it's hard to know what he's going to do, I don't think he even knows what he's going to do at times.
"There's weaknesses in his game because he's quite small. Challenging for kicks he'll not be as strong at that and he's not as great a tackler because of his size.
"Hopefully we'll be able to exploit his weaknesses rather than see his strengths."
Attacking
Scotland and Wales enter the match looking for their first wins of the tournament following opening weekend defeats.
Andy Robinson's men suffered a 34-21 loss to France with Les Bleus taking advantage of turnovers to score four tries.
Scotland, though, scored three of their own and Walker hopes the attacking style continues.
"We looked dangerous and played some good rugby, just in the wrong areas of the pitch," he said. "Hopefully we'll put that right this weekend and play well."
