Jared Payne and Joey Carbery named in Ireland Six Nations squad

Ireland have named Jared Payne and Joey Carbery in their 36-man squad for the final two rounds of the Six Nations.

Payne, who sustained a kidney injury during Ireland's win over Australia last November, made his comeback from injury in Ulster's win at Zebre on Sunday.

Carbery missed the opening rounds of the Six Nations as he battled back from an ankle injury. He scored three tries in as many appearances for Leinster in February.

Carbery's provincial team-mate Jack Conan also returns to the international set-up, along with Munster prop Dave Kilcoyne.

Rob Kearney keeps his place despite sustaining a groin injury during the win over France, but Ulster's Tommy Bowe misses out.

Ireland are currently second in the Six Nations table, three points below leaders England. Joe Schmidt's side tackle Wales in Cardiff on March 10 before hosting England in Dublin in their final game on March 18.
